The final poles are put in place so that we will have access at roof level

Danny and Lionel are more than happy to stand about whilst the scaffolding is being inspected for our safety

Jen, Jack and Bernard prefer to sit

Roy prefers to sweep

M.J.P. prefers to eat

Work commences at last with the washing down of the mill body

Let's hope that Simon is tying the rope securely

Fancy foot-work eh !

Jen is washing down the roof

I'm 44 feet from the ground

They look like ants down there !

This is great !    What a way to spend a Saturday morning !

Roger

Those clouds look ominous

I'll be just fine, provided that the wind stays calm

Some areas of the roof are scraped back to the metazinc

Jen washes down the West Side . . .

A perfect day for painting

Danny, our works supervisor, is on constant alert !

Acid-etch primer is applied to some roof panels

Keith paints the Weight Wheel

Then opts for a lie-down

Now Jack's lying down

Jen too !!

Apparently it takes three blokes to paint one door !!

Jack's painting is interrupted . . .

. . . by a birthday surprise

David has got relaxation down to a fine art

The vacuum cleaner makes short work of paint flecks
