Jill Windmill is normally open to visitors from 2 pm to 5 pm on most Sundays between May and September.

In addition for 2008, we intend to open Jill Windmill on the Saturday of National Mills Weekend.

Where shown, some Open Days have extended opening hours of 11 am to 5 pm.

Please note that whilst we will make every effort to open Jill Windmill when indicated, we do very much rely upon the goodwill and the availability of our volunteers, so we cannot guarantee that Jill Windmill will be open to visitors on every planned date.

Very occasionally, due to sickness, to lack of volunteers, to maintenance work on the Mill or to severe weather conditions, we regret that it becomes necessary to close Jill Windmill to visitors at short notice.

Please contact us if you would be interested in being a Mill Steward, keeping our visitors safe in the Mill, or if you are willing to help in the Roundhouse with teas or souvenirs. The duties are not that onerous and everybody who comes to help enjoys it.

Jack Windmill is in private ownership and is not open to the public, however our Society Members are granted exclusive access to Jack Windmill on those dates indicated below.

Jill Windmill will be open on one Sunday morning in early December for our Christmas Opening.
